Last Online: Complete Walkthrough — 12 Puzzles, 5 Devices and Three Endings
Header illustration generated for this article with an AI image model. It is promotional art, not an in-game screenshot.

Spoiler warning: This article gives the answers to all 12 puzzles, the four sets of accepted spellings, the eight unsent draft keywords and when you can type them, and the trigger conditions for all three endings. Most answers in this game have to be "counted out" or "compared out" of the data — understanding the derivation matters more than reading the answer. If you only want to keep your first playthrough intact, read just Sections 2 and 3 (system rules and the clock), and come back to look up a specific puzzle while you are working on it.

Where this guide comes from: Last Online is a game we made ourselves. Every number here, every spelling a puzzle accepts, and every clock advance in minutes were checked against the words shown on screen, one line at a time, and confirmed by playing the whole way through on the live build of 25 October 2026 (https://lastonline.gamestrategists.com/). The screenshots in this article are real gameplay.

1. What this game is

Your younger sister, Su Chi, has gone missing. The older sister, Su Wan, logs in to the old phone Su Chi left in the family sharing — a "family device management console". Everything you can do is what this console allows you to do: view the location trail, ring devices remotely to read their microphone levels, scroll the photo sync stream, listen to the voice assistant's wake logs, inspect the family account's administrator list, and that "Erase This Device" button anyone can press.

ItemActual value
TypeA grounded family-mystery ARG / console-interface narrative
Acts6 (numbered 0–5)
Puzzles12 (the first 11 take an answer, the last is the final choice)
Interaction typesThree: text / choice / order
Devices5; the top-right corner shows "online 4/5"
Apps6, unlocked by act (0 to 5)
Endings3: A "Follow It" / B "Silence" / C "Send It"
Collectibles8 unsent drafts — collecting all of them is what makes the third ending's entrance appear
LanguagesFully bilingual Chinese / English; the URL follows the language

It contains no supernatural content and does not rely on jump scares. The horror comes from a very specific modern experience: your devices know where you were yesterday better than you do.

2. Six rules you must know before you start

1. The 12 puzzles are a single linear chain. Every puzzle opens only after the one before it: puzzle 2 needs puzzle 1, puzzle 3 needs puzzle 2 … puzzle 12 needs puzzle 11. There is no structure that lets you skip, run puzzles in parallel, or "do the later ones first and come back". So this walkthrough can be read linearly too.

2. Apps are mounted by act, not unlocked by clicking.

AppAct required to unlock
Devices (find)0
Find · Trail (map)1
Photo Stream (photos)2
Assistant Logs (assistant)3
Family Account (account)4
Erase This Device (danger)5

The left sidebar marks apps that are not mounted yet with 🔒 and their act number, so there is nothing to guess.

3. Acceptable spellings are looser than you think. The same matching engine as earlier games in the series: case is ignored, extra spaces and punctuation are ignored, and differences in the Chinese trailing particles de / le / guo (roughly "of", "have" and "ever") also count as correct. This article lists the full accept set for every puzzle.

4. Getting stuck will not lock you out. The same three-tier hint degradation: the first wrong attempt gives you a direction, the second something more specific, the third the answer in plain text. The hints you used show up on the results screen, and this game will not lock an ending because of it — but it will change your own verdict on "did I actually solve that myself".

5. The input box checks for drafts before it checks your answer. The console has exactly one input box, and it does two jobs: submitting answers, and surfacing the eight unsent drafts Su Chi left behind. When what you typed matches a draft you have not found yet, that submission is not an answer — the clock does not move, it is not counted as a miss, and no hint tier fires (measured: typing two keywords in a row took the counter from 0/8 to 2/8 while the top-bar clock did not move a minute). The flip side: typing a keyword whose draft is not unlocked yet is handled as a wrong answer. Typing six seconds in Act 1 — a draft that needs Act 4 — cost 9 minutes and pulled up the first hint tier for the puzzle on screen. Section 5 has the table of which act each of the eight words waits for.

6. The clock in the top-right corner really runs, and wrong answers push it faster. See the next section.

3. The in-game clock: starts at 22:41, advances with every answer

The 22:41 in the console's top bar is not decoration. It starts at 22:41 and advances on every answer submission — right or wrong:

Puzzle typeAdvance per submission
text input9 minutes
choice7 minutes
order14 minutes

Getting the first 11 puzzles right on the first try comes to 105 minutes, i.e. from 22:41 to 00:26; the final puzzle is itself a choice, so deciding costs another 7 minutes. A clean run with no wrong submissions therefore shows an elapsed time of 1 h 52 min on the end screen — measured in two runs, one that collected all eight drafts and took Ending C, one that collected nothing and took Ending A. Every wrong attempt adds another 7 to 14 minutes, so your time is a direct readout of how many times you were wrong — if you want a clean time, do not force your way through degraded hints. Surfacing a draft is not in the table above: it costs no minutes at all.

Also: each correct answer makes "Confirmed · HH:MM" in the top bar jump as well; that is your only feedback for judging "how much this step cost me".

Location trail · last 11 days: the 02:11 → 02:47 gap every night, with the operation log on the right

4. All 12 puzzles, solved

Each puzzle below gives what to enter, what else you can enter, and which numbers the answer is derived from.

Puzzle 1 · Unlock this device (Act 0 · Device · text)

Reading the photo library and the assistant logs needs the device passcode. Six digits.

Puzzle 2 · The gap in the trail (Act 1 · Find · text)

The trail disappears at the same moment every night: 02:11 → 02:47. Count how many nights there are.

Puzzle 3 · Which one is by the water (Act 1 · Find · choice)

Ring each offline device remotely, one by one, and read back the microphone level. Which device's echo comes from the waterside?

Puzzle 4 · The door plate in the glass reflection (Act 2 · Photos · text)

IMG_2216 is focused on the street-facing glass. The glass reflects the door plate of a building across the street. Enter that door plate number.

Puzzle 5 · The impossible one (Act 2 · Photos · text)

IMG_0031's EXIF contains a physically impossible value. Enter that field's value (including the unit).

Puzzle 6 · The 41st second (Act 3 · Assistant logs · text)

wk-11 is 47 seconds long; the first 40 seconds are almost silent. At the 41st second she says a three-character phrase. What is it?

Puzzle 7 · Put them back into that night (Act 3 · Assistant logs · order)

The four clips come from the same 36 minutes of one night. Click them in chronological order.

Puzzle 8 · The third administrator (Act 4 · Family account · text)

The family account has a supervisor that joined on 2026-09-06. Enter its email domain.

Puzzle 9 · The four-digit calibration value (Act 4 · Assistant logs · text)

The assistant server asks for the calibration frequency. Four digits, no decimal point.

Puzzle 10 · 1.2 kilometres (Act 5 · Device · choice)

The fix shows 1.2 km from your home. You set every device ringing at once. Which device's sound comes back from inside your own home?

Puzzle 11 · Before it is erased (Act 5 · Family account · order)

A supervisor privilege has started a remote wipe; the countdown is 90 seconds. Perform the four steps in the correct order so you can get the evidence out first.

Puzzle 12 · Erase, or don't (Act 5 · Erase This Device · final choice)

The tablet in the wardrobe is still ringing. Your mother has been woken by the noise and is walking toward the study. You must decide now.

The Erase This Device panel: with no draft collected, this is only two entrances

5. The eight drafts, and the three endings

The third ending of this game does not sit on the puzzle chain — it sits on a collectible one. Su Chi left behind eight unsent voice transcriptions, each tied to something that was hers. None of them is mounted in an app: they surface only when you type the matching word into the console input box. Collect all eight and the final panel gains a third entrance.

The eight words, and the act each one waits for

DraftType thisEarliest you can type it
To Mum · unsentosmanthus cakeafter puzzle 1 (Act 1) — that is, while answering puzzle 2
To my sister · unsentlast bussame
To future me · unsentearbudafter puzzle 3 (Act 2) — at puzzle 4
To my deskmate · unsentworkbooksame
To Dad · unsentseasame
To my sister · unsentkeyafter puzzle 5 (Act 3) — at puzzle 6
To Mum · unsentsorrysame
To everyone · unsentsix secondsafter puzzle 7 (Act 4) — at puzzle 8 or 9

Both keyword sets stay live whichever language you are playing in: the console checks the Chinese word and the English word against the same input, so osmanthus cake works with the interface in Chinese and 桂花糕 works with it in English (measured in the Chinese interface: typing osmanthus cake surfaced the draft and moved the counter to 1/8).

Three things worth knowing:

  1. Do not jump the gate. Each draft is tied to an act, and typing its word early is handled as an ordinary wrong answer — Section 2's rule 5 measures it: six seconds in Act 1 costs 9 minutes and pulls the first hint tier. The last column above is the first text puzzle on the chain where each word already works; follow it once and you have all eight.
  2. The "Unsent drafts n/8" button on the right reads the words out to you. Open it and every draft you have not found yet is listed as "Next: type「word」", with "(N acts further)" appended when its act has not arrived. Measured in Act 1: eight rows — two unmarked, three "(1 act further)", two "(2 acts further)", one "(3 acts further)". So the eight are collectible without this article; the table above only saves you a few trips to that panel.
  3. Collecting all eight costs you no time. A submission that surfaces a draft does not advance the clock and does not count as a miss: measured, the run that collected all eight stood at 00:26 when it reached the final panel — minute-for-minute identical to the run that collected nothing.

The final panel with all eight drafts collected: the counter reads "Unsent drafts 8/8", both the erase panel and the answer panel have gained a third entrance ("Send them"), and the top-bar clock still reads 00:26

The three endings

EndingTriggerWhere it lands
A · Follow It [ DEVICE REMAINS ONLINE ]Choose follow in the final choice (or click Cancel — go and find it)Su Wan does not tell her mother. She goes back to her room and keeps investigating that 6-second recording; she turns off every device in the family account, keeping only her own — because after the supervisor was revoked, the system added it back once. She becomes the administrator who is "always online".
B · Silence [ ALL DEVICES SILENCED ]Choose silence in the final choice (or click Factory reset directly)The progress bar runs to the end in 4 minutes 12 seconds. The tablet stops, the watch's 41 decibels stop, and the earbud that was never found goes from "offline" to "removed". Her mother asks from the doorway where she is. The last line of the console log: DEVICE UNBOUND · Su Chi · executed by organizer — the organizer is you.
C · Send It [ EIGHT DRAFTS DELIVERED ]Once all eight drafts are collected, the final choice gains reply (the erase panel labels it Send them)She lays the eight drafts out in time order and sends them one by one — to Mum, Dad, her sister, her deskmate, everyone, and to future her. Failure notices pile up: those accounts no longer exist, or never did. She does not stop. The last one goes to the tablet in the wardrobe, addressed to Su Chi. The bar takes six seconds, and three knocks come from the living room, exactly as in the recording. Her mother stands in the doorway and does not ask what she is doing; she listens to the end, then says: that osmanthus cake place — I'll go tomorrow.

One implementation detail worth stating: the three buttons on the erase panel and the three options in the answer panel write the same values — three entrances, three endings, and no fourth. The third entrance is not a hidden door either; it has exactly one precondition, which is that all eight drafts have been found. Miss one and it does not appear (measured one run in each state: 2 visible options versus 3).

Ending B is harder to take than A because it turns the act of "erasing" into, narratively, "you personally moved your sister out of the home" — and the system log uses the coldest possible line. Ending C takes away the thing A and B are still doing, which is investigating: it gives you no answer. It sends her words out, and then makes a device that should have been dead reply with three knocks.

The Ending A closing screen: the device remains online

7. How it relates to the rest of the series

Last Online is a standalone story: Su Chi, Su Wan, Lansheng Road 7-14, tide-lab.cn and the tablet in the wardrobe belong only to this work.

The data does contain a few props that share a name or a type with other games on this site: tide-lab.cn, TIDE-07 not recovered, 52.9 Hz, Lancheng and Lansheng Road. Here they answer only this game's questions — twelve deployed, eleven recovered, and the one left answering Su Chi's watch; the city name is a coordinate, not a prerequisite.

It does not require you to have played any of them first, and it does not promise that those names will be explained elsewhere. Every clue closes inside this console.

8. Closing

Last Online is the least "puzzle-like" and most "evidence-like" of this batch: no combination locks, no dark web, no fake websites to wander through. Your entire power is one administrator privilege, and it is less reliable than you think — because at any moment another supervisor might be speaking for you while you sleep.

May you export what needs exporting before 02:47.
